Our Frenchies

All of our French Bulldogs are registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC), and DNA verified as 100% French Bulldog with Embark DNA.

As our breeding program has developed, we have been doing more and more health testing each generation. We are proud of our dedication to improving the health of the breed. Note that OFA cardiac, patellas, and thyroid can be done after 1 year of age, and OFA hips and elbows can be done after 2 years of age. Eye certification requires a visit to a board certified veterinary ophthalmologist, so we are able to do that when health clinics are available.

Gaule Maisy Mouse “Maisy”

  • Status: Poppy had one litter with James Brown. It was a beautiful litter, but we tragically lost seven of the eight puppies to sepsis (a random and unpreventable situation). Her surviving pup (Junior) was awesome and found a great family. We are hoping to repeat this breeding for Poppy’s second and final litter.

  • Status: Jamesy was a puppy I met at his litter exam… and I just knew I loved him. Fast forward until he was 10 months old and his breeder/owner reached out to me and asked if we wanted him. We are so fortunate to have been entrusted with this lovely boy. Jamesy fits right in with the family. He is a happy go lucky boy who loves to swim.

Harold at Gaule “Harold”

Note that a dog (or person) who is a carrier is not affected by the disease. It’s important to know if a dog is a carrier so that you can make educated breeding decisions. Breeding a carrier to another carrier, could potentially result in affected puppies. Fortunately, all of our other Frenchies are clear for this genetic disease.
  • Status: Norma had three great litters. She was then spayed and retired. One of my co-workers was looking for an adult Frenchie, and it was the perfect match for Norma. We miss her silly antics, but still get pictures and updates and know she is enjoying all of her attention.
